TREKKING AND EXPERIENCE IN A SHEEPFOLD AND LUNCH WITH SHEPHERDS
The territory of Desulo is the quintessential land of shepherds, always known for its heroic shepherding, practiced on steep slopes, exposed to the elements and heavy snowfalls.
After a great deal of hard work and sacrifice, we are rewarded with top-quality agri-food products:
cheeses, ricotta, flavorful meats.
Over time, many flocks have been moved to fertile and mild plains.
Nevertheless, today many shepherds still remain, who have decided to continue the work of their fathers,
thanks to them the Gennargentu is still alive and inhabited,
goats, sheep, cows, still tell us of a human reality that stands as a winning bet, in the face of globalization and in clear opposition to the logic of large-scale distribution.

PROGRAM
FIRST DAY
Arrival in the evening in Belvi, presentation of the area, interesting screenings
and discussion about agro-pastoral culture. The content is decided based on the guests' interests,
ranging from Michelangelo Pira to Pigliaru, including contemporary anthropologists.
Dinner and overnight stay
SECOND DAY
Transfer to Gennargentu, visit to the sheepfold during milking, departure for a walk,
upon return cheese will be made and lunch will be served,
