Departures from
Olbia - San Teodoro Budoni - every Wednesday
7:45 Departure from San Teodoro
9:30
The first stop will be in Fonni, the highest in Sardinia
at 1000 m above sea level.
Here a stop is planned where we can watch the baking of carasau bread.

Next, you will travel along an enchanting scenic road, set on the western side of the Gennargentu mountain massif, which will take us to the Tascusì pass (1400 m above sea level). The mountain landscape is the absolute star.
We reach the village of Tonara.
Here, a stop is planned at the ancient workshop of the
cowbell makers.
For over two centuries, the manual craft has been preserved here, the soundtrack of our mountains inhabited by grazing herds.
We reach Belvì, more precisely a forest where we will have our lunch outdoors
A cheese-making workshop is planned, with freshly milked milk
an exceptional master, a local shepherd.
Then we will taste cured meats, cheeses, sheep with potatoes and suckling pig
wine, nougat, and abbardente

13:40
Country lunch Sardinian style in the woods, or in a restaurant
Menu:
Ham, sausage, salted ricotta, olives, roast suckling pig
sheep with potatoes, aged cheeses, Mandrolisai wine, abbardente and nougat, all plentiful and genuine.

15:30
In the afternoon, on the way back, we will pass through the famous hilly and wine-producing area of Mandrolisai: 1,500 hectares of vineyards that will offer us a spectacular landscape of historical value made up of vines, stone walls, and cork oaks registered in the EU register of traditional historic landscapes.
Visit to a characteristic vineyard, meeting with the winemaker and tasting of fine wine
16:30
We end on a high note, with an evocative visit to the unique archaeological site of Biru e Concas, a place full of charm and mystery. Here, 200 menhirs bear witness to a culture dating back 3,500 years; it is called the Sardinian Stonehenge. We are in the territory of Sorgono, the cadastral center of Sardinia but also of the ancient world. Here passes the 40th parallel north, and quite a few scholars attribute to Sardinia the role of ancient Atlantis.
